Our Veterans County side take part today in their qualifier on Newport looking to match 2022 when they qualified for the finals. They have named a strong line up including former Merit winners Wayne Rogers and Derek Wright, with all but two of the players regularly playing Premier League currently, including the Meole Brace trio of Phil Lyttle, Mark Thomas and Dave Redge. Only Roy Bradburn and Mark Holland aren’t currently playing Premier League but both have played plenty of times in that league before. Ian Gaut, Glyn Herbert and Martin Williams make up the rest of the squad to face North Midlands, Warwick and Worcester and Staffordshire from 10 a.m. today.
