Ben Hinton had a marvellous run to the final of the British Junior Individual Merit Final but dipped out to Callum Sharples 15. It was our first finalist since Mike Beer in 2006, and he came close to emulating Callum Wraight in 2003. He had started off with a win against Taylor Miller 13, then Ryan P Williams 16, Jamie Isaac 15 and Tom Hirst in the Semi Finals 14. Our other representative Harry Parsonage also lost to the winner first round 17, the closest anyone had got to him all day.
Well done to Ben on his fantastic run to the final.
