Shropshire Juniors started with a win over Staffordshire, but it wasn’t as comfortable as the 43 chalk win suggests. They were trailing 21 overall after the first four at each venue, despite a 21-9 win for Harry Brookes away at Short Heath, and a 21-13 success for Akeel Khan at Newport. It was the middle four that changed the scoreline, with a clean sweep at both venues, three of them away being single figures led by Thomas Carr winning 3. Eloise Fenwick and Lillee Anne Clayton were the best winners 8 at home to lead by 72 overall. With the game won, we had one winner in the back four at either venue, Molly Harris 19 away and Will Thompson 17 at home.
