The final of the Shropshire Cup between two Mid Shropshire League Champions Sinclair and Newport takes place at Meole Brace tomorrow night at 6.30 p.m.
Sinclair, current Mid Shropshire League Champions and leaders, will start as favourites given their form and the fact they won at Newport in the league earlier this season. They field a young side, with Junior Merit winner Jordon Millman in the team along with Mid Shropshire Round Robin Champion Logan Church and Senior Merit winner Harry Church. Steve Handey, Kevin Keary, John Roberts Jnr and Steve Handley all face their former club in the front four, with Ayden and Steve winning this competition with Newport in 2021. Former Shropshire Merit winner Alan Davidson plays Ayden at number one, while Dale Rudrum, Mark Selley and Phil Emery all have massive experience as part of the Newport team that won 5 successive Premier League titles, Phil and Dale also part of that 2021 winning team along with Allan Smith.
