Senior Merit Saturday Qualifiers Preview

There are three qualifiers tonight in the Shropshire Senior Merit as 32 players chase the 12 spots for the finals day on Sunday 30th June.

At Prees and there are 10 players chasing four spots. Former winners Martin Lloyd and Derek Wright will be looking to win it for a second time, while Gary Neal is a former finalist in this competition.

At Tilstock there are 13 players going for 5 spaces. Chris Grocott returns into the Merit after a few years out. Reigning and defending champion Rich Lawson looks to defend his crown, while Alan Purcell is a former County Handicap winner and Alan Boulton a former Veterans Merit winner. Paul Latham is another former finalist in the field.

Scott Moseley is the reigning County Handicap winner, and Dan Taylor a former winner of the Staffordshire Merit.
