9. Phil King
Club: Hadley USC
Qualification: Ayden Smith 19 at Trench
Phil is a current Senior County selector but is still playing at a high level with Hadley USC in the Mid Shropshire League. He has won the League Averages in Division One as well as the Dixon and Driscoll Doubles.
10. Ben Hinton
Club: Chester Road
Qualification: Steve Dance 16 at Bridgewater No.2
Ben has qualified for a second year running after doing so for the first time last year. He is now making established in the Chester Road Premier League team, and won the Junior Merit in 2019, and then reached the Junior All England final.
11. Jesse James
Club: Burway
Qualification: Russell Pugh 15 at Bicton
Jesse is now captain of Burway, after playing in the Premier League for Craven Arms and Castlefields, before going to Burway after a break. A part of the Junior County winning side in 2006, he also finished runner up in the Junior Merit in 2004.
12. Richard Lawson
Club: Hanwood
Qualification: Carl Hinton 5 & Alan Boulton 15 at Bridgewater No.1
Rich is another captain playing today, now having settled at Hanwood after leading Bowring in the Premier League for a number of seasons. He has finished runner up twice in the Merit, in 1985 and 2001, but has won the County Handicap a record 3 times on the spin, and the Junior Merit two years in a row.
13. Will Tarrell
Club: Meole Brace
Qualification: Dave Nicholls 20 at Telepost
Will finished runner up in 2021 in this competition, and broke into the Senior County side after consistent performances at Meole Brace in their Premier League team. He also finished runner up in 1994 in the Junior Merit.
14. Keith Wall
Club: Castlefields
Qualification: Martin Lloyd 16 at Bridgewater No.1
Keith is a former runner up in 1998 in this competition, as well as winning the County Handicap in 2002 and 2010. He also won the Premier League 25 Years Anniversary Competition in 2019.
15. Tony Rhodes
Club: St Georges
Qualification: Pete Grimston 16 at Madeley CC
Tony has been a former Semi Finalist in this competition a few times, qualifying for the All England. Has won the Premier League Merit in 1996, and has been a consistent performer in the near 30 years of the Premier League with St Georges, being captain on numerous occasions, including this season.
16. Nick Davies
Club: Meole Brace
Qualification: Beat Liam Page 10 at Bicton
Nick is captain of Meole Brace this season, after playing in the Premier League with Ford and Hanwood before, his best season being 18 wins in 2003 after helping Ford reach the Premier League in 2001.
