Roll Up Shropshire Update

Despite April being a terrible month weather wise clubs went ahead with their Roll Up Shropshire sessions.

27 Clubs took part offering 44 sessions and numbers held up pretty well with some notable successes.

With 5 clubs yet to provide results it seems that 292 people came to the session

Much Wenlock had a terrific response with 80 people attending. Much Wenlock is a big green but even so it must have been crowded.

Bridgnorth saw 45 attendees, and almost half of these have joined the club.

There were some great conversion rates with

Baschurch: 7 people & all 7 joining up,

Broseley: 8 attended & 7 joined up all of whom have come back for more coaching

What the clubs said

I think it was a success and helped to promote the club and generated quite a bit of interest and as a result we have increased our membership.

Hanmer had an amazing Roll Up Shropshire today. We had 10 children and 15 adults. For a small club that was fantastic.

We all know 1500 bowlers didn’t come back after Covid and I would therefore like to congratulate all the participating clubs. You all deserve a big pat on the back for making the effort. It is hard to attract members & to a small club even 2 or 3 people are important

 So very well done to you all
