The North Shropshire qualifiers take place tonight at Bridgewater with 8 qualifying spaces up for grabs. Previous winners Martin Lloyd and Jack Hewitt are on the no.1 green, along with previous runner-ups Keith Wall and Rich Lawson, the latter enjoying a great start to the season. Former Shropshire Veterans Merit winner Alan Boulton also takes part, while on the no.2 green former Veterans Merit runner-up Cedric Bancroft takes part. Former Junior Merit winners Clay Flattley and Ben Hinton are there too, along with experienced competition players Martin Gaut and Ed Proudlove.
