Midland Masters Report

Conor Chamberlain, who qualified through Shropshire, won the 2025 Midland Masters after beating our own Joe Killen 12 in the final. He had defeated another two of our players in the previous two rounds, Callum Wraight and Ash Wellings, 10 in the Semi and Quarter Finals respectively. He had got past Tom Hayward 14, Joe Melvin 10 and Max Jefferson 13 in the first three rounds. Joe had beaten James Berrisford 6, Nick Tideswell 16, Joe Williamson 17 and Callum Mitchell 5 to make the final. Callum had got past Andrew Owen 10, Lee Davies 19, Louie Furniss 18 and Luke Boniface 5 to get through to the Semis and Ash Wellings had got past Ian Hickey 8, Phil Clapham 11 and Mick Day 7 to make the Quarters. Pete Grimston won his first game 16 against Andy Ferris but then lost to Max Jefferson 13, Mark Thomas beat Dave Semper 20 but lost to Callum Mitchell, Liam Stevens had got past Adrian Lesson 12 but was beaten by Joe Williamson 18 and Stuart Rutter beat Josh Blakey 7 and then lost to Nick Tideswell 17. Josh Bradburn, Tom Killen, Ayden Smith, Tim Jordan and Cheryl Caswell all lost first game, while Gary Neal and Rich Lawson couldn’t make it.
