Midland Masters Qualifiers Review

We have our 16 qualifiers for the 2025 Midland Masters on Saturday 20th September at Stretton Bowling Club at 10 a.m.

Well done to all our qualifiers. Thank you to Mark Thomas, Chris Jones, Steve Wall, Martin Gaut and Jack Hazeldine for running the qualifiers.

Albrighton

The two Killens qualified at Albrighton, Tom beating Dave Scriven 11 and Joe defeating Dave Evans 8 and Phil Jones 10. Former runner up Stuart Rutter had to beat his wife Jackie in the qualifier 18, after he had got past John Lea 13 first game. Liam Stevens was the other qualifier, defeating Pete Millington and Lisa Wilson 19.

Allscott Heath

2024 Shropshire Merit winner Josh Bradburn got through after beating Wrockwardine Wood pair Josh Cotton 12 and Steve Faulkner 17. Two of his team mates also qualified. Ayden Smith beat Martin Gaut 20 and Tim Willis-Cotton 13, and Pete Grimston defeated Adrian Owens 12. Former Staffordshire Merit winner Nick Wyer got through by defeating Scott Moseley 12, with Cheryl Caswell, recovering from a sprained ankle, hobbled her way to a 20 win over Dale Downes from 20-15 down.

Archibald Worthington

2023 Shropshire Merit winner Rich Lawson got through after beating Jacob Reese 5, while Conor Chamberlain made the trip over to get through after defeating Clay Flattley and Ed Proudlove 13. Tim Jordan had to beat his son Rhys to qualify 21-4, after beating Jack Hazeldine 17.
