Two teams from outside the Premier League look to cause a massive upset once again to reach the Semi Finals of the KGJ Insurance County Cup. Woore tackle 2021 winners Wrockwardine Wood at Greenfields, knowing this would be a bigger upset than their last game against Burway. Captain Gary Beff says “Looking forward to another game against an established top premier league team. Going to be really tough but we will do our best to keep the Whitchurch league flag flying! Shifnal defeated the Bylet last round, but have their hands full against the holders Sir John Bayley at Maddocks, who are the favourites to add a third straight triumph. Skipper Paul Beer says “with us facing a very good top Premier side tonight on Maddocks we under no illusion that this will be a difficult game, from a normally 10 a side team going to 12 and having a couple unavailable we have managed to get a side out that will at least challenge. I expect by 60 anything less would be a good result for us, Good Luck SJB in the next round.” Hanmer take on Hanwood at Donnington Wood with both teams knowing this is a big opportunity to reach the Semi Finals, Hanmer for the first time and Hanwood the first for a long time. Highley have never got to the Semi Finals, with Meole Brace last being there in 2019 when they lost in the final. They both meet at Newport.
