There are two ties in the KGJ Insurance County Cup 1st round tonight. There is an all Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League tie between Bylet and Hanwood at Newport, with both teams looking to make an impact in this competition. The other tie is between the Premier League Champions Wrockwardine Wood and former Premier League side Newport at Allscott. Newport captain Wayne Lawrence said “we are going into the game knowing we are playing one of the best teams in the premiership with stars throughout their team Sadley we have a couple of key absences but bring in players that have started the season well. We will go to Allscott to enjoy the game whatever the result, but in all honesty having only started our league campaign last week we will use the game as some much needed match time.”
Teams are reminded to give the host clubs £12 for green fees.
