We have 11 qualifiers in the 2022 Midland Masters tomorrow at Pennfields Bowling Club in Wolverhampton. These feature our first ever husband and wife qualifiers in Stuart and Jackie Rutter. Stuart plays Natty Tonks of North Midlands first game, while Jackie is bottom of the draw and takes on Elliot McGuinness from Warwick and Worcester. There are other Wrockwardine Wood players in the field with Dan Taylor playing Alan Slater of Derbyshire and former winner Jamie King taking on Potteries & District’s Matt Hill. Another former winner, Callum Wraight, who won it on Pennfields, plays Arron Jones of the Potteries, while Gary Neal plays Mick McGuinness and Clay Flattley has Derbyshire’s Andy Smith. Jamie Brookes is first on and plays Jayne Bates of Warwick and Worcester, while Alex Hassell has Jack Hill from Staffordshire. Dave Brown is our oldest qualifer and takes on Michael Warrington from North Midlands first round, while one of our youngest Josh Bradburn has a tough opener against Staffordshire’s Mick Ledwidge.
