Callum wins another All England

Callum Wraight added a second All England title to the one he won in 2009 with a dominant display up at Hawcoat Park in Cumbria. He beat Gary Owen 9 in the final after racing 15-3 up, after defeating home county player Ian France 8 in his Semi Final. Gary had ended the hopes of another of our qualifiers, Dave Lloyd, 11 in the Semi Finals, after his fine run. Callum had beaten Ben Percival 11 first round, then Billy Speed 17 and Steve Vickers 19 in his toughest game. The Quarters saw him defeat Russ Prosser 8. Dave had a great debut run, nearly making it an all Shropshire Final for the first time in 52 years. He had got past Tim Jones 11, Dan Varcoe 19, Dave May 11 and Richard Gill 20. Rich Goddard beat Mark Regan 16 and Andy Fergus 15 before losing out to Ian France 16 in the last 16. Pete Farmer lost first game 10 to Jack Dyson.
