Ash reaches last 16

Ash Wellings was our best performer at the British Individual Senior Merit at Heaton Park as he reached the last 16 before losing out to eventual winner Simon Coupe 9. He had beaten Tom Boyd 6 and Brian Walker 12 in his first two games. Rich Lawson was the other player to win a game, defeating James Duffin first game 17 before losing 20 to Anthony Walker after having a good lead. Jamie King also dipped out after leading, 20 against Darren Day, whilst Harry Church had a good comeback from 11-2 and 20-13 down to get 19 off Ian Jones.
