There are 56 players chasing the 16 spots for finals day of the Midland Masters on Saturday 20th September at Stretton across 4 venues. Former winner Callum Wraight is at Shelton along with County Handicap winner Ash Wellings and the Palmer brothers who know how to win big competitions. Senior Merit Semi Finalist Emmet McKinley looks to qualify for the first time there. At Archibald Worthington is former Junior All England winner Andy Armstrong, 2023 Merit winner Rich Lawson, and recent Shifnal Open winner Clay Flattley and Cleckheaton Open Champion Conor Chamberlain.
Telford has two qualifiers with 30 players taking part. 16 of those at Allscott Heath, including Newport Open winner Scott Harries, finalists Pete Grimston and Ayden Smith, Edgmond Open Champion Josh Cotton, Merit winner Josh Bradburn and Nick Wyer, who has recently broken into our Senior County side. At Albrighton are the Killen twins Joe and Tom, Tom having just won the 18-25 Merit, with former finalist in this Stuart Rutter there alongside wife Jackie Rutter who has qualified for this before. Another set of twins are there in Liam and Ryan Stevens, Liam having been our Player of the Match against Yorkshire, and Dan Corbett, recent winner of the Baron Cup.
