Sunday County Senior Merit Qualifying Preview

The remaining 11 qualifiers will come in Sunday’s qualifying in Telford and Shrewsbury.

There are 5 qualifiers at Newport on the far green. Former multiple winner Pete Farmer and Spencer Clarke are there, as well as Newport Open winner Scott Harries. Recent Dennis Lewis Open winner Sam Millward will be looking to continue his good form. Former Junior Merit winners Harry Church and Aaron King are there, as well as junior Jordan Millman.

Wem USC sees former winners Callum Wraight and Rich Goddard try and regain the Charles Beddard Trophy, with former finalist Will Tarrell looking to go one better than in 2021. Perennial qualifier Mark Shore aims to qualify once again! In Unison and former runner-up Mike Beer and former Junior Merit winner Ash Wellings look to win this for the first time. Chris Jones caused an upset last year beating Callum Wraight in the qualifiers and will aim to make his mark again.

There is no dress code.
