Sunday Senior Merit Qualifying Review

Former winners Wayne Rogers and Rich Goddard got through at Bicton after beating Rich Proudlove 5 and Julian Cooke 12 respectively. Dave Nicholls shocked former winner Kiah Roberts to win 16, while brother Pete nearly made it through too, losing out to Adie Rowe 20. Mark Thomas beat Andy Duckett 20 and Dan Williams 5 to qualify, and Ash Wellings defeated Phil Lyttle 13 and Will Tyler 11 to get through.

Josh Cotton qualified at Donnington as he beat two former Champions in Spencer Clarke 20 and Rob Roden 10. Tony Rhodes got through by beating Darren Fielding 6 as well as Sam Millward who defeated Aaron King 17. Simon Madeley was the other qualifier after he beat Pete Grimston 12.

Five time winner Pete Farmer survived two 20 scares against two Senior County players in Tom Roden and Scott Harries to get through. 2022 Champion Dave Lloyd qualified by beating John Clarke 17, while youngster Jordan Millman will look to make it a possible double on the 29th and 30th June of Junior and Senior Merit respectively as he qualified by defeating Martin Gaut 15. Harry Church was a semi finalist last year and will look to go at least one better as he beat Matt Rhodes 11, while Steve Faulkner, returning to the game after a long time out, beat Jon Lea 18 to get through.
