We have four hopefuls in the British Senior Individual Merit at Heaton Park tomorrow. Our Merit Champion Rich Lawson plays James Duffin of Cumbria first game, being the best odds of our four players there. Runner-up Jamie King has Darren Day of North Midlands first round, being in a tough eight with former winners Noel Burrows and Matt Gilmore. Harry Church doesn’t have it much easier, facing Ian Jones first up, who plays for Ifton in our County, and could potentially face home Merit winner Ben Gloag and former winner Graeme Wilson in his eight if successful. Ash Wellings takes on Tom Boyd of South Yorkshire first game, having the overall favourite Simon Coupe in the last 16 if they both win their first two games.
