There were 4 big wins in the Preliminary round of the KGJ Insurance Shropshire Cup. Castlefields won by 95 over Greenfields with Steve Duckett and Karl Jones winning 5, with Tony Williams the best of the two winners for Greenfields 17. Trench defeated their Division Two opponents Charlton by 62 as Paul Osbourne was their best winner 4, and Roger Vernon best for the Division Two side 12. Adderley beat the Bowring by 47 at Greenfields with 8 winners, Tony Sherratt the best of them 5. Kate Wainwright was the best for the Telford side 8. The other game was a little closer as previous winners Prince of Wales Hotel got past Sinclair by 33. Simon Lewis was best winner 8, with Will O’Hara the same for the opposition.
Meole Brace did not turn up for their game against Bridgnorth, so Bridgnorth have been given a walkover.
