History of your business:
Barlows (UK) Ltd is a family run business, established in 1948 by Thomas Clifford Barlow.
The business started life in 1948 as a small electrical repair shop in the village of Malpas in Cheshire. The company has steadily grown over the years and now has a Head Office in Malpas and regional offices in Manchester, High Wycombe and Lancaster, offering a full range of electrical services.
Barlows (UK) Ltd has expanded significantly in order to meet with customer demand and now offers a full range of property maintenance services. There are two high street appliance retail outlets in the Shropshire market towns of Whitchurch and Ellesmere.
Our company now has 500 directly employed staff and a fleet of 300 vehicles!
Our regional offices in Chadderton, Manchester and more recently High Wycombe and Lancaster, continue to build upon the original Barlows foundations to form a strong nationwide client base across all sectors, becoming a trusted partner for many social housing organisations, local councils and building contractors. Continued demand for our services has led to a requirement for a further branch office in Lancaster.
We are renowned for our customer care and technical expertise and look forward to continuing our growth and expansion for the next 70 years and beyond.

Why choose us?
Barlows (UK) Ltd are a One stop shop. Choose Barlows and deal with one named contact for your intruder alarm, fire alarm, access control, security system and fire extinguishers. Avoid the common problem of individual suppliers shifting the blame for failures and save money by bringing all of your maintenance contracts together.
Proven expertise. We’ve been providing security systems for businesses and homes just like yours for over 33 years. When you choose us you benefit from those years of experience in what works – and what doesn’t.
Big enough to deliver, small enough to care. We have the skills, team and experience to provide whatever solution you need. But we’re also small enough to offer named contacts, a truly personal service and engineers who really know your business.
With so many different systems on the market Barlows understand that finding the right solution for you can be a mine field. We are here to guide you through the selection of your system, installation process and to provide after care and servicing. To discuss your individual requirements please give our expert team a call. They will be happy to advise you of the best preventative solution for you. For further assistance please see our information centre.
