Dave King

Club: St Georges 

Dave has been a solid performer at St Georges since moving there in 2004. He has been a regular at number one, particularly away, showing he fears no one and can beat anyone on his day with his talents and good temperament

Tony Rhodes

Club: St Georges 

Tony has qualified for many Shropshire Merits and although he hasn’t converted this into a final he has qualified for numerous All Englands, including last season's. He has been a regular at St Georges for years now and has been captain there too. Has won the Premier League Merit and League Averages. 

Scott Harries

Club: Bylet

Scott has won the Bowring Open on more than one occasion showing that he can win the big competitions. Has won numerous doubles competitions too. He is now back at his hometown club leading them to numerous records, and has won the Premier League Averages. 

Dan Beeston

Club: Hanmer 

Dan is an up and coming bowler from North Shropshire who has won the under 21 and 25 Merit in the Whitchurch League. He grew up at District but is now at Hanmer.

Rob Fuller

Club: Bylet

Rob has regained his form in recent years since moving back to play at the Bylet. He is a very competitive player and will he looking to make his mark on this competition for the first time. 

Charlie Weaver

Club: Woore

Charlie won the Merit back in 2001 at Craven Arms and remained a top player with Chester Road for another 10 or so years. Since then he has moved and played at Woore in the Whitchurch league, winning titles galore there. 

Will Tarrell

Club: Meole Brace

Will is a former county player now playing at Meole Brace after growing up at Ford. He has won the father and son with his Dad Bill, who is also in the field. He is a key player for Meole now in the Premier League. 

Callum Wraight 

Clubs: Castlefields, Archibald Worthington & Elephant & Castle

Callum has won this competition three times, in 2011, 2012 and 2017, as well as being runner up last year. He has also won the All England 10 years ago and the Champion of Champions, as well as many other top titles. Will be hot favourite today. 

Martin Williams 

Club: Wrockwardine Wood 

Martin has returned to the form that saw him win the Premier League Averages in 2002 and gain a Senior County place. He has been a consistent performer for Wrockwardine over the last few seasons earning him a recall to the County side this season. 

Ian Williams

Clubs: Baschurch & Bridgwater

Ian was a surprise qualifier after only playing 5 years since he had 25 years out of the game. He won the Market Drayton League Division Two Averages in his first season back. He is currently leading the Whitchurch League Averages at Bridgwater, and plays in the Wem League for Baschurch.

Stuart Rutter

Club: Wrockwardine Wood

Stuart has been a regular in the Senior County side for a number of years now. He has also won big competitions like the Dennis Lewis Open and the Premier League Merit twice. 

Nigel Bound

Club: Meole Brace

Nige has been a consistent performer over the years for Ford and now Meole Brace. He is known for his great advice off the green, but is hoping to give it himself so he can go far.

Ash Wellings

Club: Hanwood 

Ash has been one of the most up and coming bowlers in the county for the last few seasons. He has broken into the Senior County side and reached the Semi Finals of this last year. A former Junior Merit winner.

Paul Latham 

Club: Chester Road 

Paul reached the final of this back in 2009 at Adderley. He has played in the Senior County side and has been a consistent performer for Chester Road over the last 15 or so years. He is still a regular on the competition circuit having qualified for the Wharton Cons this season so far. 

Wayne Phillips 

Club: Hanwood 

Wayne has been a top performer in Shropshire for a long time now, earning over 100 caps for the Senior County side. He hasn’t yet reached the final of this, getting to the Semi Final last season, and will be desperate to go one better. 

Doug Edwards

Club: Meole Brace 

Doug has been a regular for Meole Brace since making the move from Prince of Wales a few years ago. He has been one of their consistent performers, mainly at 12, and has also won many local competitions too.
