Good luck to our Alliance Team!

Our Midland Alliance team head to Florence in the Potteries to try and win the competition for the first time. This was where Shropshire made their first final back in 2015, losing out by two chalks to Warwick and Worcester. A repeat of that final could be on the cards as they are not in our group, and we also have the home county's B team as home knowledge could prove important, especially on the big green. The other counties in our group are North Midlands and South Yorkshire. The team is a mix of experience and youth as some players make their first Alliance appearance. Adam Jones is rewarded for his early season form as well as Meole Open finalist Martin Gaut. Players who enjoyed good seasons last year are given the chance to impress as Scott Thomas, Glyn Wellings, Stuart Clee, Steve Roberts, Rich Morris and Martin Williams all finished in the top 35 of the Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier Bowling League Averages. Keith Wall and Tony Rhodes have played many county games and are looking to get back into the squad.
  • The SCGBA would like to wish the team all the best. There will hopefully be updates on the SCGBA Facebook page.
