Good luck to Castlefields

Castlefields look to go one better than last year as they start their BCGBA World Club Championship campaign today at Spen Victoria. They have a tough draw though, playing local team Lower Hopton, featuring Graeme Wilson, Robert Hitchen and former Shropshire County player Ian Booth. Captain Alan Peach comments "to be honest it will be a very difficult game against basically homesters. But we are not going there to lie down, we can only give it our best shot!" Castlefields are without some of their regulars, but will still take a decent side up there. If they win they will play either Tixall or Esclusham. The SCGBA would like to wish Castlefields all the best. Round 1  Green 1 Castlefields (Shrop) v Lower Hopton (Yorks) Tixall (Merseyside) v Esclusham (Wales) Green 2 King Alfred (Cumbria) v Min Y Don (Wales) Pudsey ( British Parks) v M & B Cheslyn Hay (Staffs) Live scores should be here.
