Shropshire take on Merseyside in their first Section 2 game on Sunday 6th May with a much changed side. We aren't helped by four players not playing much or if at all, with Glyn Picknell, Alex Jones, Andy Moss and Rob Burroughs all out of the squad. Back in comes Derek Wright, Stuart Rutter, and Spencer Clarke who were left out of part or all of last season, and Chris Worthington returns after being unbeaten for Staffordshire last year. Sam Millward also comes in for his debut, with Ash Wellings and Jamie King both moving to reserve. It is still an extremely strong line up that will want to go one better than the semi finals like they did last year. Bowring is the home venue, and after the fine win over Warwick & Worcester on there last season we will be confident of a good home win. Merseyside are taking us to the Wheatsheaf, a notorious green that has recently been used again by them recently so our away side will have their work cut out to get a good score on there.
