Callum wins Meole Open!

Callum Wraight of Castlefields won the Meole Open for the second time after defeating Leighton Roberts in the final to earn his place in the Champion of Champions. He had his closest shave 1st game against Kevan Shaw, beating him 20, before defeating Andy Thornton 10, John Bailey 18 and Jamie Bramley 16. Leighton Roberts ended the fine run of Callum's team mate Glyn Herbert in the Semi Finals 9, after beating Darren Plenderleith 19, Fields' Mike Beer 17 and Kevin Handley 14. Glyn had a great run beating Adam Jackson 8, James Martin 20 and Aaron Tapper 8, while Mike had beaten Len Lewis 8 first game. Rob Fuller from Bylet reached the last 16 after beating Mike Dulson of Wem USC first round 12, while Newport's Sam Millward had defeated Ash Wellings from Hanwood 14 first game.
