Shropshire Senior Merit Preview: 2nd Quarter

Jamie King Clubs: Bowring, Hadley USC & ECC Premier League record: 5 out of 12 Jamie has plenty of talent after excelling at Junior Level culminating in winning the Junior Waterloo. He has since made the move up to the Senior County having an excellent record there showing he is a big game player. Also has won several doubles titles including the County with Scott Harries, so knows how to win a big competition! Andrew Moss Clubs: Chester Road & Woore Premier League record: 8 out of 12 Andy is one of the most consistent bowlers around having won this competition twice as well as the County Handicap, Autumn Waterloo and Meole Brace Open showing he knows how to win them! He is one of our top bowlers in the Senior County and has won the Averages in the Premier League multiple times. Rob Fuller Clubs: Bylet & Hadley USC Premier League record: 10 out of 12 Rob has been one of the most in form bowlers so far this season having won 10 games out of 12 in the Premier League back at the Bylet. He had struggled after moving to Wrockwardine Wood but has managed to win several Mixed Doubles titles with Sally Clee, so knows how to win a competition but now has to try and go alone! Adam Jones Club: Castlefields Premier League record: 5 out of 10 Adam has broken into the Castlefields Premier League team in recent years and has been a consistent performer for them. He recently reached the Ellesmere Open final showing he knows how to go far in competitions. Will also have green experience from his time in the Tanners League. Josh Bradburn Clubs: Bowring & St Georges Premier League record: 8 out of 12 Josh has been in-form this season winning 8 out of his 12 games which has earned him a call up to the Senior County squad. He won the Premier League Merit and Doubles last season to so knows how to win a big competition. He is also playing Summit League this season so this top division game will help him for today. Glyn Herbert Club: Castlefields Premier League record: 6 out of 10 Has reached the final of this before in 1990 and green knowledge will not be a problem given his experience from practicing it for the Senior County. Has won everything with Castlefields and has that winning mentality that drives them on, and will hope that will help him on today to. Rich Lawson Clubs: Bowring & Baschurch Premier League record: 6 out of 12 Rich has reached two finals of this in 1985 and 2001 so will 2017 be another final for him? He won the Junior Merit in 1985 and 1986 so knows how to win a big competition. Also made history this season by winning the County Handicap for the third time in a row so shows he is in the right form and mind set. Clay Flattley Clubs: St Georges, Hanmer & Telepost Premier League record: 8 out of 12 Has won the Woodley Classic already this season so is in good competition form. Was the last winner of the Pontesbury Open in 2007 so also knows how to win a competition on here and has had plenty of practice on it since with the Senior County. Consistent performer in the Premier league with several clubs over the years.
