2016 Crosfield Cup Final Preview and Live Scores link.
here. The 2016 Crosfield Cup Final takes place between Shropshire and Yorkshire who meet in their 4th final in 19 seasons, with Yorkshire currently leading 2-1. Yorkshire have enjoyed a relatively straightforward passage to the final, only a scare against Wales in the final group game when they lost at home but still won by more away. Shropshire have had a couple of tough games, South Yorkshire pushed us all the way in the second group game, while North Lancs & Fylde kept in the game until we pulled away in the back four. Shropshire have turned to Greenfields tomorrow, a green we haven't used since 2009, but selector Pete Bound said it was where the players wanted to go. "It's a bit of a gamble because we have not played on it for a number of years. But the players wanted to go there and it's back in good nick now. And it's always been a banker green in the past." Shropshire won by 47 back in 2009 over Derbyshire and 36 the year before over Greater Manchester so it has proved that it can deliver a big win. Yorkshire are using Elland Cricket and Bowling Club for the first time since 2014, when they beat Wales by 43. Shropshire have made two changes to the team who beat North Lancs & Fylde. Phil Emery and Rob Roden both return to the team, and play away, with Spencer Clarke replacing the unavailable Glyn Herbert at home. Phil is no stranger to Yorkshire, it's where he used to play before moving down to Shropshire about 15 years ago, so Shropshire will hope his knowledge will help him gain a good result. Rob returns after injury ruled him out of the Greater Manchester game, and replaces team mate Aaron King who moves to reserve, but may have a chance of playing still as Scott Harries picked up a muscle injury last week. Rob Steventon is the other reserve away but Scott did play on Friday night for the Bylet. It promises to be a cracker of a game and we would appreciate all support home and away, there are still spaces on the bus leaving Sir John Bayley at 9. For those who can't make it, the scores will be updated
