Father and Son: A History

The Father and Son takes place on Saturday for the J. Fullwood Trophy. It has run every year since 1958 when H & M Thomson of Crescent won it. It has been an open trophy, with the most wins coming from George Roberts Jnr and Senior of Malpas, Albert and Ray Jones and Doug and Barry Lawrence who have won it three times. Brian Shore has won it three times, once with his dad Stan and twice with his son Mark. Wayne and Steve Rogers of Burway are the only pair to win it twice in a row. The current holders are Pete and James Farmer of Childs Ercall, who won it last year at Bayston Hill. Who will add their name on the trophy this season, will it be a previous winner or will a new family get their names on the trophy? Details on how to enter are below: Played on Saturday 4th June at 11 a.m. at Prees (SY13 2EQ). Entry is £8 per pair. Dress Code Applies. You can enter on the day or with Phil Scott on 07746 478299.
