The only restriction on this very young competition was that no player who had played in senior leagues could take part.
It was played on a beautiful morning on a superb green along with perfect administration which made this format the basis of something to be encouraged and carried on.
This was the idea of Brenda Slingo the Sinclair coach, aided by people from her own club, with coaches from Shifnal BC and others not forgetting of course the host club Sinclair for its hospitality.
The quality of bowling and sportsmanship was first class, as were the markers and measurers who also showed the young players the correct way to do it!
After conversations with others I intend to follow up this format and expand it to provide a useful match playing coaching aid.
